Cheng brings his experience in Malaysia and New Zealand to the daily care, training and development of the horses entrusted to him.

Cheng returned home to continue his career, working with trainers Lim Hoon Seng in Penang and Tan Soo Beng in Selangor. He later earned his Malayan Racing Association A trainer’s licence.

Cheng held a New Zealand public trainer’s licence, managing the care, training and race preparation of horses under his charge.

Cheng moved to New Zealand, working with John Parson and later Stephen Blair to deepen his experience in horse management and training.

Penang-born Cheng began as a track rider with Cecil Robert, followed by a three-year apprenticeship with trainer Tan Joo Hock.

回国继续练马事业，先后与槟城练马师 Lim Hoon Seng 及雪兰莪练马师 Tan Soo Beng 共事，之后取得马来亚赛马总会 A 级练马师执照。

取得新西兰公众练马师执照，负责旗下马匹的管理、训练与备赛。

前往新西兰，先后与 John Parson 及 Stephen Blair 共事，深入学习马匹管理与训练方法。

出生于槟城的 Cheng Han Yong 从骑马员起步，跟随 Cecil Robert 工作，随后在练马师 Tan Joo Hock 门下接受三年学徒训练。
